THAT 3 PM CRASH ISN'T A PERSONALITY TRAIT

Why your brain suddenly decides it has absolutely nothing left to give.

It's 3:17 PM0 - Morning went great.
Now you're staring at your laptop like it personally betrayed you.
Eyes heavy - Brain slow - Coffee suddenly sounds like medicine.

Welcome to the afternoon slump. And yes, it's real.

Human alertness naturally changes throughout the day because of our circadian rhythm and accumulated sleep pressure.
But there's a difference between a normal afternoon dip and feeling like you've been hit by a truck.
If you slept five hours, lived on caffeine, barely moved and spent six hours staring at a screen...
That 3 PM dip is probably going to hit differently.

Adults are generally recommended to get at least seven hours of sleep regularly, and insufficient sleep is associated with impaired attention and cognitive performance.
And here's the trap:

Bad sleep → caffeine → afternoon crash → more caffeine → worse sleep → repeat.

Now you're not fixing your energy.

You're borrowing it from tomorrow.

RBRTH TAKE

Your energy isn't supposed to be identical all day.

Understand your rhythm.

Sleep properly.

Move.

Use caffeine strategically.

And stop treating exhaustion like a personality trait.

Because tomorrow's energy starts with tonight's sleep.
